Spanning Centuries

This last version of “Blow Thy Winter Wind” is so vastly different from anything else in the show to me, but I have to imagine the way our actor/singers will play it, and I have a feeling in their voices and fingers it will sound natural.

Again, the more time I spend with Shakespeare, the more I get out of it. It’s fun to collaborate across the span of centuries!

Assuing that Rick signs off on this newest piece, the next steps are to write the final flourish in the play called “Hymen’s Song,” and re-do the notes from last night. Then my job will be to get all of this transcribed and notated before first rehearsal on Tuesday.

If I’m really super good at stuff then I’ll also be able to start on some of the score cues for the show this weekend as well. Im really looking forward to that. It’s a whole other canyon of creativity I’ve yet to enter.

One question I didn’t ask Rick last night that I need answered is if any of the forest scene transitions are going to be with live insturments…
